The DPF will continue to fill with soot till it plugs up complete and the truck quits running since there is no place for exhausted gases to exit. With the DPF delete tune in place the additional fuel injected is not done.

Aside from the hoses what tends to cause a P2454 code is an exhaust leak or a problem with the DPF pressure sensor or its associated wiring. Due to the new European emission standards if the car was fitted with a Dpf to lower emissions removing it would be in volation of the Eu laws and its tested for in the new MOT. If the car never had one fitted then its fine. Much like if a car was never fitted or made before the seat belt law was passed the car doesnt need to have them. With what you're describing you can just do a parked regen and that basically cleans out the DPF. I don't know if Isuzuz's have a button ok the dash for that like some of the big trucks do. The sot level takes hundreds of miles to go to 40 or 50 or 60% and then it in next 1/2 hr drops down to 2-4 % level. The EGR does gunk up over time and is, IMO, a useless system. To the OP, if you're handy with tools and fabrication (or know someone who is) you can delete the DPF and EGR systems yourself with a little work. All it needs is a pipe to replace the DPF system under the truck and some block off plates for the EGR up top.

As yours has been opened up, and had the guts removed, then welded back up, from the outside it looks exactly the same as a stock DPF. As the MOT is a visual inspection to see if it's there, you should be ok. You will only fail under the current regs if you had the unit removed and replaced with a DPF delete pipe.
