Kia Pro Ceed Temperature Actuator. I've got a 2008 Kia Pro ceed 2.0 crdi, the car is only blowing cold air so with the help of reading posts on this forum I seen that it is likely to be the Hvac Temperature Actuator, so I stripped it down and took the part out, I moved the arm so that it is blowing hot air which it now is. I'm hoping this means Manoeuvre the starter motor out of the engine compartment. Bolt the wiring cover in place, if equipped. Lower the vehicle. Replace the air intake system and any other components you had to remove to gain access to the starter motor. Attach the black, negative battery cable using the wrench. The starter motor on your Kia uses energy from the Heater resistor has failed and taken out power supply to itlikely a fuse. This has dropped power to other items like power steering. No codes as likely using an OBD2 reader which will only read engine codesemission basedwhile the items that are not working would not be included. Locate the ISG button, pictured below (B). The ISG button can be located in two separate locations dependent on the Kia model. Eg, it's inactive when the window is below halfway up. It should also reverse the widow direction automatically if it senses an issue. Eg as you move window upwards, it senses an issue then the window should go down about 25mm. If the window didn't move after it first stops then I'm doubtful the jam sensor is being triggered.

Easy check is charge the battery, connect one jump lead to the engine and the other end to a good earth on the chassis. Try and start the car if it starts your earthing strap is broken buy a new one and fit it anywhere suitable. Hope this helps it happened to me and a mechanic told me the quick way to check it.
