AudioPhile. I brought the P6 in 1997 for US$1200. I used Rotel RA-971 Int-Amp, then Denon AV-amp, then Digital Amp (Trends Audio 10.1). The speaker did not sound its best until I switched to Adcom GFA-565 (pre-amp) and Adcom GPA-555 (power-amp). The bass quality of the P6 improves a lot with the Adcom. I bought these totally beaten. The tweeters were pushed in by the house todler and on one speaker was the surround almost completely detached. So I took apart the tweeter and pushed the aluminium dome back into shape. Than I glued the surround back to the cone. Not the prettiest job, but it functions fine.
The CM8s are biwirable and feature B&W’s Flowports to promote tighter, better-defined bass. Ideally, you should position them in some free space, with a little toe-in. Stunning midrange performance. We have to admit that the midrange performance is, indeed, spectacular – the clarity of vocals is stunning. The CM8s have no trouble with

Regular readers will be aware that my long-term reference loudspeaker is the B&W John Bowers Silver Signature. This stand-mounted two-way design retails for $8000/pair—I bought the review samples after I wrote my review for the June 1994 Stereophile (Vol.17 No.6, p.75). Well, for just over one-eighth its price, the CDM 1 sounds fundamentally

B&W 685 review: design. It's not just the 685s' performance that has proved enduring. The square-edged, vinyl-wrapped cabinets are livened no end by a combination of soft-touch paint on the baffle, a shiny, asymmetrical tweeter arrangement and bright yellow Kevlar mid/bass driver. Face on and grilles off, the B&W speakers remain interesting and
B&W HTM71 S3 has external dimensions of (Height x Width x Depth) 9-1/4inch x 24-3/4inch x 14inch (235.0 x 629.0 x 356.0mm ). Base surface area of a loudspeaker may become a determining factor when the space in your room or desk is limited. The base area of B&W HTM71 S3 is approximately 2239.2cm 2 / 347.1inch 2.
Retailing for $3,000 a pair, the 703 represents a tremendous bargain in a crowded marketplace and may just be the best all-around speaker in terms of price and performance that Bowers & Wilkins
The bass port now fires down instead of forwards. The speaker turns in a broad claimed frequency response of 24Hz to 28kHz (+/-3dB), plus 89dB sensitivity that’s good in absolute terms, but only so-so for the 804 D4’s size. This speaker is easy to position, as it works well from as close as 20cm to a rear boundary wall.
The front of each speaker is very clean-cut with not a screw in sight. The specially designed stands feel suitably robust and match the speaker’s premium finish (although they do cost an extra £400). Even the little Bowers & Wilkins badges look quality 4.5. Any patio party won’t deter the Bowers & Wilkins AM-1 speaker from playing. The AM-1 provides you the waterproof mobility you need without sacrificing sound quality and is regarded as the “most robust loudspeaker Bowers & Wilkins has ever built.”. This waterproof speaker will provide you with tremendous sound both indoors and outside

B&W 683 S2. The answer is an emphatic yes. Our expectations have been exceeded. The new 683s are seriously capable, and some of the best floorstanders we’ve heard at this price. But first, a few words on set-up. B&W has supplied plinths to fit the bottom of the speakers for health and safety reasons, in case they topple.

Design. The 804 D4 includes a specifically dimpled port, like all B&W bass reflex speakers, to maximize airflow and reduce port noise. B&W has trademarked this design as the “Flowport.”. Because the Flowport in the 804 D4 fires downward and exits to the aluminum plinth at the bottom, its departure point is concealed. Available to ship. Available at nearby stores. Bowers & Wilkins CCM362 6" 80-Watt In-Ceiling Speaker - Pair - White. The only down side to the bass is an mid-bass hump of +/- 5db at 100-150Hz wich can make them a little boomy sounding. However in a larger room this is less noticeable, and the deeper bass takes over. Mid/high. The midrange is maybe one of its strongest points, it sounds very neutral and airy.
Not because the product, Bowers & Wilkins' new CT 700 series loudspeaker, is either bad or wholly unique, but because, unlike other traditional speaker reviews, I didn't use the CT 700s to simply
Purchased 5 to replace my 1st gen M-1's because they did not match the decor of the new house, spouse approved! But, just like the original, they are excellent speakers. Paired with B&Ws PV1D, in 2.1, great detail and 3D soundstage with certain well recorded albums. 5.1 is excellent. Build quality is great but the stand can be finicky to setup B&W 603 review.
