I have comfort matic in ducato motorhome whit occasional failure notices in dash. Transmission failure shows up in slow speeds but goes away and suddenly comes up again. Car accelerates and change gears again normally when limp mode suddenly goes away and all goes ok. When speed is up to 70 kmh and more, all is fine.
P0401 code is egr insufficient flow. It's not possible to check egr by just blowing through it. I suggest clearing the code and making sure the warning light goes out. If light goes out but then comes back on when vehicle driven , next step is fit a new egr valve . I recommend a new valve not a used valve.
